Small Cell Lung Cancer – Symptoms, Treatment, and Prognosis

Lung cancer is the most common cancer which cause of cancer death.There are two types of lung cancer small cell lung cancer and non-small lung cancer

Small cell Lung cancer
Small cell lung cancer is highly related with the smoking, it many case there are highly related to active smokers

Symptoms of Small cell lung cancer

Can be seen specific symptoms which are
Dyspnea ( Shortness of breath )
Chest pain
Cough with sputum but sputum blood stained
Wheezing
And the other common general symptom are ;
weight loss,lethargy and loss of appetite

Lung cancer is diagnoses with the biopsy which are taking samples from lung tissue with the bronchoscopy.Bronchoscopy is a tube that inserted into the airways.Another diagnostic method is examination of sputum.

Staging

Small cells Lung cancer usually has metastased before diagnosed so has high mortality.

Causes of small cell Lung cancer
The Major cause of the lung cancer ,Cigarette smoking  but in some people which diagnosed lung cancer they have never smoked.Prevention from lung cancer,should be done by stop smoking.

Treatment of small cell lung cancer

There are limited options for the small cell lung cancer, those are
Chemotherapy
Radiotherapy
Surgery has no benefits for small cell lung cancer
