Tonsillitis is an infection and inflammation of the tonsils.The causes of the inflammation can be due to bacterial or virus infection.Tonsillitis is most commonly seen in the winter term.it characterized  flu like symptoms.Specially for children ,Parents should be careful  because tonsillitis can effect to the heart valve so it can be cause heart valve insufficiency.

What are the symptoms of Tonsillitis ?

Tonsillitis can be characterized as fever and flu like symptoms.Common symptoms that can be seen in tonsillitis are ;
Sore throat
Fever
Swollen lymph nodes

İf Tonsillitis caused by Virus symptoms like ;
Runny and stuffy nose
Sneezing
Coughing

How Tonsillitis treated ?

İf tonsillitis caused by Virus ,it will go away by its own. But if it is due to bacteria than should be use antibiotic treatment.Do not use aspirin under age 20  because it may cause Reye syndrome.
